Burnout is a growing concern in medical education, with significant impacts on students, trainees, and institutions. A recent study by Lode Godderis, Anke Boone and colleagues examined this research question using a co-creation approach, involving 96 participants across the medical education spectrum in Flanders, Belgium. Through workshops and a Delphi session, the team identified key interventions at both individual and organisational levels—including personalized coaching, onboarding programs, and flexible scheduling. The study highlights the importance of collaborative, stakeholder-driven solutions and calls for greater emphasis on organisational strategies alongside individual support to effectively combat burnout in medical training environments.
